I found this chair on the road a while back and I saw the life in it yet! Once black vinyl and unloved, now polished and covered in a vintage fabric salvaged from another vintage chair my sister is recovering.
I love giving life to pre loved things, both the fabric and the chair have a second wind that will not be short lived.

I won't lie I had a little help. I enrolled in a short course in upholstery which I much enjoyed and once I find another abandoned piece on the side of the road I will back on the job!

Went down the coast to a friends wedding last weekend. Beaut weather and lovely empty caravan park....nothing like sleeping in the van....AEDA is good to us. You might remember her from around last Christmas when we traveled in her up the coast!

So the sun isnt shining right now, but we can all dream of the time it will show its pretty face again. Then we can enjoy beaut brekkies like this tasty number: Italian scrambled eggs with tomato, Parmesan, pancetta and toasted brioche. Devoured on a slightly dusty saturday morning at Baccino Dee Why. The italian flag just tops it off! (the croissant of course not my brekky)

An amazing week skiing in Val D'Isere with my family. Blue skies all week made up for lack of much fresh snow. Our guide Denis was a real character full of dry humour and an enthusiasm for touring that has inspired me to think of fresh way to enjoy my skiing.

The Film Apocalytpo has the most inspiring bodyart. The men covered in tattooing of bold shapes following the contours of their forms. Body piercing complete with carved bone. Body scarring in repeat patterns complementing both men and women.
These patterns, textures and use of natural materials to make jewellery and body adornments are rich. Soo many ideas can come from here. Maybe I should work as a creative director...

Uncle Sep is the blog for September Designs run by me, Nina, a graphic and textile designer based on the northern beaches, Sydney.
I work as a graphic and textile designer as well as crafting and creating for friends and family.
My hand crafted wares are soon to be found on etsy...stay tuned!

I am of Austrian descent (though incredibly aussie), Sep being short for Josep is a common name and is a reference to a farmer in the hills, the hills of Austria being my second home.
I hope you can enjoy my posts and designs as I share my sense of style with you.
